Amodo: Episode 63
IN THE VICINITY OF 'TISSINT'
Broadcast date Friday 16 November 2007
Tsint, a wonderful oasis on the outskirts of the desert, is abundant in water and skilled people are eager to work.
In the past, Tissint, famous for its fruits and salt, was an important center for the caravan trade.
But the decline of this trade, the decline in the activity of the spiritual centers in the region, as well as immigration and Bayoud disease, all led to the collapse of Tissint's economy.
The Tsintians did not stop working and earning because of all this, but they quickly adopted a new activity that revived the economy of the oasis: the medicinal herbs trade.
Can Cint today keep pace with the civilizational progression to create a place for herself in tomorrow's society?
