The Secrets of Sidi Hamza's Zawiya
On the northern slopes of the High Atlas range, curving toward the northeast, approximately 60 kilometers southwest of Midelt in the Drâa-Tafilalet region, stands Mount Ayachi as a natural barrier shielding the mountain pass. Nestled in the open palm of its gentle terrain lies the sanctuary of Zaouia Sidi Hamza.
In a mountain gorge surrounded by peaks, a scholarly zaouia was established, which held great importance in 17th-century Morocco.
