THE NOMADS OF BNI GIL

The episode was filmed in the eastern Moroccan desert, about 50 km from the city of Bouarfa, in the direction of the Moroccan-Algerian border.

The episode deals with the life of a family from "Bani Gail" and the problems facing their living.

“Bani Gail” are nomadic tribes, who live on grazing and raising livestock in the eastern part of the Maghreb.

Summary

The highest rates of poverty, vulnerability and mortality of children and pregnant women are found among the nomadic Bedouin.

However, this group is not targeted by clear development programs.

Can't we get rid of her negligence and indifference?

Can't we create special schools for the children of nomads, for example? Can't we organize medical campaigns for them?

Our preservation of this phenomenon is the preservation of an economic and civilized pattern that reduces much of our Moroccan civilization.

And achieving the nomadic desire for stability, eliminating nomadism as a sociocultural system that our society has known for many decades.

Let us combine our efforts, then, to suppress this desire, which will inevitably lead to the death of one of the most important phenomena that distinguishes us, the phenomenon of migration.
