Avni's memory
- first trip -
Broadcast date March 14, 2008
It is known that Morocco's strategic location has, over the centuries, been the object of the ambitions of many colonial countries. Spain is among those countries, whose ambitions were translated into a legitimate demand in the city of Ifni as an alternative to its defunct center: Santa Cruz de Mar, Kenya.
The Ba'maranis faced these ambitions with all their determination and strength, forcing the colonists to enact a path of negotiation and signing treaties, but the breach of these covenants by the Spaniards inflamed the enthusiasm of the patriots to defend the country's possession.
The Spaniards were not satisfied with their illegal practices only, but they also began to disarm the population, opened missionary headquarters that advocated Christianity, and imposed Spanish citizenship on all Ba’marans by issuing the naturalization law in 1947.
It is the period during which Ait Baamran will enter the stage of maximum mobilization to ignite the fuse of the revolution and erupt the fires of resistance.
